Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: to - Release: 10.2 to 10.2
Information in this document applies to any platform.
Issue may happen on both 32-bit and 64-bit platforms.

The problem was first reported on a Windows 32-bit platform.

ORA-4030 is generated when creating a text index.

Indextype is CTXSYS.CONTEXT.

Different memory settings do attempted but it failed every time because of exceeding 2G virtual memory per process limitation.

Same problem has also been reported on 64-bit servers.  Index creation fails when Oracle-process has used 25 Gb of memory (index creation used 15 Gb out of 25 Gb).

DBMS_XMLGEN.CONVERT returning clob is called in a loop.

Getting a heapdump shows memory leak with signature "lobbufSize"  and  "buf qmudxCtx :" is seen under "koh dur heap d".
