Goal
Oracle 11g introduces Automatic Diagnostic Repository (ADR) as a single pool for all types of trace and dump information. Oracle Support requires this ADR information for further investigation of critical errors in database. Because ADR is not only a collection of tracefiles but a tiny XML database, you have to use packaging tools to ensure that packages are complete and don't miss important diagnostic information.
