Symptoms

Core dump occurs during RMAN backup:

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [__GI_strncpy()+17] [SIGSEGV] [unknown code] [0x000000000] [] []

Current SQL statement for this session:

Other than generating the core dump, the backup completes successfully and all rman related metadata is fine.
