Health Check 11058: Oracle RAC Database support status notification
IMPORTANT
My Oracle Support provides a proactive health check that automatically detects and notifies you of the existence of this issue before it impacts your business. To leverage this proactive support capability, install the Oracle Configuration Manager (OCM). Information on installing the Oracle Configuration Manager can be found on the Collector tab of My Oracle Support. To view the full portfolio of health checks available, see Note 868955.1
Description
This health check informs you if the Oracle RAC Database release is nearing the end of Premier or Extended Support and how the product is impacted by the end of Error Correction Support. The check provides both notification and recommendations on how to proceed to ensure optimal support coverage.
Risk
The risk informs you whether any new patches are being created for that particular release or for how much longer such patches will be created by Oracle. This impacts your ability to request new one-off patches or receive new Critical Patch Updates and Patch Set Updates for that release.
Pertinent end dates for Premier Support, Error Correction Support, Extended Support and Sustaining Support will also be displayed for that particular Oracle RAC Database release.
Recommendation
In cases where My Oracle Support provides built-in support for planning an upgrade to a more readily supported release, you will be notified that an upgrade planner is available to help you plan your upgrade and a link to the upgrade planner capability will be presented.
It also provides a link to Knowledge Document 250.1 "Oracle Support Upgrade Advisors" for guidance on how to upgrade to a release with better support coverage.
