Ora-19816 raised in alert log after creating new log group in FRA (Doc ID 1100416.1)

Symptoms

New log groups have been added:

ALTER DATABASE ADD LOGFILE THREAD 1 GROUP 1 ( '+DATA', '+RECO') SIZE 100M;
ALTER DATABASE ADD LOGFILE THREAD 1 GROUP 2 ( '+DATA', '+RECO') SIZE 100M;
ALTER DATABASE ADD LOGFILE THREAD 1 GROUP 3 ( '+DATA', '+RECO') SIZE 100M;


Diskgroup '+RECO' is used for the Flash Recovery Area.
The following warning was then raised in the alert log:

ORA-19816: WARNING: Files may exist in db_recovery_file_dest that are not known to database.

After running CATALOG RECOVERY AREA command:

List of files in Recovery Area not managed by the database

RMAN-07527: Reason: File was not created using DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST initialization parameter
File Name: +RECO/irisdb/onlinelog/group_2.4507.718549665
RMAN-07527: Reason: File was not created using DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST initialization parameter
File Name: +RECO/irisdb/onlinelog/group_3.4508.718549667
RMAN-07527: Reason: File was not created using DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST initialization parameter
