Symptoms
Using the Oracle ODBC to retrieve huge data from a BLOB column is causing a 'Memory Allocation error'.
The problem is due the Operating System limit when ODBC driver is trying to allocate more than the available memory. This could happen because the Oracle ODBC is trying to load the entire BLOB data in the local cache.
