Okinit Fails With "Cannot Find Kdc For Requested Realm" (Doc ID 1105684.1)

Symptoms

When executing okinit from a 11.2.0.1 Oracle Home the following error can be encountered:

okinit: File permissions incorrect


The okinit trace file has the following errors on Unix:


snlinGetAddrInfo: getaddrinfo() failed with error 8
snlinGetAddrInfo: exit
snlinGetAddrInfo: entry
snlinGetAddrInfo: getaddrinfo() failed with error 8
snlinGetAddrInfo: exit
snauk5l_sendto_kdc: Returning 88: Cannot find KDC for requested realm
