Symptoms

An ORA-1075 is received when trying to connect to the database AS SYSDBA
The database is down due to problems with datafiles and errors. The following might be found in the alert.log file for the current, or previous startup attempts.

Changes

Some type of media problem has occurred taking files offline, or files have been manually offlined.
