Trying to connect from a 32-bit SQL*Plus client on Linux x86-64 to a remote database:

SQL> connect myuser@mysid
Enter password: *******

SQLPlus crashes with the following error stack:

ORA-24550: signal received: [si_signo=11] [si_errno=0] [si_code=1] [si_int=11] [si_ptr=0xb] [si_addr=0x68747541]
sskgds_getcall: WARNING! *** STACK TRACE ABORTED ***
sskgds_getcall: WARNING! *** UNREADABLE FRAME FOUND ***
sskgds_getcall: invalid fp = 0x68747541

Obtaining a stack trace from the core file and we see:

This is likely a new installation of 32-bit Oracle client version on a Linux x86-64 platform with an AMD processor.
