Symptoms

Using Oracle 11.2.0.1, encountering the following error in the alert.log:
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [upduaw()+3019]

Environment Details:
PeopleTools 8.50.06
Application: HRMS9 Bundle 16
Database: 11.2.0.1 standalone database on Linux
          11.2.0.1 client

Error occurs when running this statement:

UPDATE PS_STDNT_CAR_TERM SET SEL_GROUP = :1
WHERE EMPLID = :2 AND INSTITUTION = :3 AND STRM = :4 AND BILLING_CAREER = :5
AND ACAD_CAREER = :6

Initial Workaround:
Rebuilding the indexes associated with the table PS_STDNT_CAR_TERM... however, this ceased to work after a while.
