Oracle Internet Directory (OID) is used as a centralized TNS LDAP names store.
Some of the TNS entries cannot be accessed in Oracle Net Manager (netmgr). Although the entries are listed, when one of these entries is selected the following error occurs:
Error Retrieving DBService: [SERVICE_NAME]
Error Retrieving DBService: ORCL
Other TNS entries can be selected, modified and deleted successfully.
Steps to reproduce
1. Start Oracle Net Manager UI (netmgr) and connect to OID.
2. Select one of the problem TNS entries in the navigator frame: popup error 'Error Retrieving DBService: [SERVICE_NAME]' is displayed.
To delete the problem TNS entries from the netmgr listing.
Incomplete LDAP naming entries may have been imported into OID from another environment.
