Installing XDB fails with ORA-4031 (Doc ID 1157973.1)

Symptoms

The following errors are encountered when installing XDB:

ORA-04031: unable to allocate 1207992352 bytes of shared memory ("shared pool", 
   "XDbD/PLZ01TcHgNAgAIIegtw==","qmxlu subheap","qmemNextBuf:Large Alloc")
ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XMLSCHEMA_INT", line 3
ORA-06512: at "XDB.DBMS_XMLSCHEMA", line 14
ORA-06512: at line 2

The SHARED_POOL_SIZE is set to at least 150 MB as required for XDB.
