Symptoms

After migrating from TG4DB2 to DRDA 11.2 SQL statements containing TRIM/UPPER and binds fails with error:

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-28500: connection from ORACLE to a non-Oracle system returned this message:
[Oracle][ODBC DB2 Wire Protocol driver][UDB DB2 for OS/390 and z/OS]STRING TO
BE PREPARED CONTAINS INVALID USE OF PARAMETER MARKERS. {HY000,NativeErr = -418}
