Upgrade Retry Failed With "crsctl set crs activeversion ... failed" Following a Failed Upgrade Attempt to 11gR2 GI (Doc ID 1176853.1)

Symptoms

After the first failed attempt to upgrade CRS from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.1, downgrade to 10.2.0.4 is successful, CRS is up and running in 10.2.0.4 release. Retry the CRS upgrade from 10.2.0.4 to 11.2.0.1, rootupgrade.sh went fine on node 1, but failed on node 2:

Changes

The previous upgrade failed due to concurrent running of rootupgrade.sh. After downgrade and restore OCR back to 10.2.0.4 status, retry CRS upgrade to 11.2.0.1.
