DBCA Does Not Display ASM Disk Groups In 11.2 (non-Windows environments) (Doc ID 1177483.1)

Symptoms

This note is relevant only for non-Windows environments.

 
When DBCA is launched by the db_home owner (example: 'oracle'), the process gets to the screen to select the ASM disk groups (Available Disk Groups) but no Disk Groups are available.

If DBCA is launched while connected as the Grid Infrastructure (GI) owner (example: 'grid'), the disk groups are available.
