Symptoms
Shutdown immediate/normal hangs. If the startup is restricted, then the shutdown immediate works fine.
- In the alert.log can be seen that shutdown is waiting for MMON and its secondary processes to be terminated:
- In the database any SELECT that is accessing V$OSSTAT will hang.
Changes
Upgrade to release 11.2.0.1.
