IMP-00017 and ORA-01647 On TTS Import Of Range Partitioned Table With XMLTYPES (Doc ID 1185753.1)

Last updated on MARCH 27, 2014

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 10.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.0 - Release: 10.2 to 11.2
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

You have successfully performed a transportable tablespace (TTS) export using classic export from one platform and are trying to import it on another platform.  The export was clean with no errors. However, during the import, you get an error during the creation of the table that uses XMLTYPEs.

For example:
importing ORG155's objects into ORG155
. . importing table "ORG_ASSET_ANNOTATIONS"
. . importing table "ORG_EXTENDED_ASSET_INFO"
IMP-00017: following statement failed with ORACLE error 1647:
"CREATE TABLE "MY_TABLE" ("ORG_ID" NUMBER(*,0) NOT NULL ENABLE...

The ORA-1647 error is:
ORA-01647: tablespace "<name>" is read-only, cannot allocate space in it

You set the following event to trace this error:
event="1647 trace name ERRORSTACK level 3"
From the trace file, the stack trace will contain the following:
kttste <- ktfbtgex1 <- ktsscrseg <- ktssctr_segment1 <- ktssctr_segment <- ktrsexec <- ktspcfs <- ktsplbcfs <- kkblAlLobSeg <- kkblbcdplf <- kkbllcsp <- kkbllcs <- kkblclsi <- ctccls_create_lob_segments
