Symptoms
+ SYS operations are being audited (or users connecting with SYSDBA or SYSOPER privileges) by setting initialization parameter audit_sys_operations to TRUE.
+ Now, whenever a RMAN backup is started, it creates a huge amount of audit files in the destination defined by audit_file_dest initialization parameter
+ The setup requires SYS / SYSDBA operations to be audited and hence you cannot reset audit_sys_operations back to it's default value of FALSE which will completely stop auditing SYS operations.
