Symptoms

Loaded a java class into a schema using the -s option to create a PUBLIC SYNONYM for that class.

For Example:

>loadjava -user test1/test1 -s Hello.class

Created a package and function in another schema to reference the class.

However, when the function is called it cannot find the class and fails with:

ORA-29540: class <className> does not exist
