Symptoms

Every other day when they run their rman incremental merge backup they are getting these messages for each datafile in their database:

RMAN> recover copy of database with tag 'IUB_ADS1' until time 'sysdate-1';
Starting recover at 16-SEP-10
allocated channel: ORA_DISK_1
channel ORA_DISK_1: sid=138 devtype=DISK
no copy of datafile 1 found to recover
no copy of datafile 2 found to recover
......
no copy of datafile 12 found to recover
