Last updated on JULY 05, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 10.2.0.4 to 11.1.0.8 - Release: 10.2 to 11.1
Oracle Net Services - Version: 10.2.0.4 to 11.1.0.7   [Release: 10.2 to 11.1]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

An OCI application makes reference to the RSA CRYPTO-C library.
If RSA calls are included in an OCI application it crashes on the OCILogon2 call.

Using sample OCI code which does NOT include the above RSA libraries work fine.

For this issue, CRYPTO-C (Version 6.1.1) is being used.

Setting the LD_PRELOAD environment variable to the Oracle libclntsh.so does not help.

If the statement (B_ALGORITHM_METHOD ) is removed from the application then everything works fine.
