User Defined Exception Handler for ORA-1000 does not Work on (Doc ID 1233326.1)

Information in this document applies to any platform.


In a PL/SQL procedure executed in Oracle Server, the error
   ORA-01000: maximum open cursors exceeded
is raised, and the code execution is stopped, even if the code contains an exception handler for this error.
If the procedure is executed in Oracle Server the error is correctly handled by the exception handler and therefore there is no exit from the procedure.
