Symptoms

- OCI based application getting a signal 11 (SIGSEGV) intermittently (depending on the layout of the heap). 
- A OCI program call to OCIEnvCreate always dumps core in the same place (with the same stack trace) due to illegal heap access. 
- Stack Trace:
