This document describes how to Verify Data Mining installation in 11g releases.

In Oracle Database 11g (11.1 and 11.2) Oracle Data Mining metadata and PL/SQL packages have been migrated from DMSYS to SYS schema.
The DMSYS schema no longer exists in Oracle Database 11g releases unless the database has been upgraded from earlier version.

Also there is no longer an 'odm' directory in the ORACLE_HOME.

For further details see the 'Data Mining Adminstration Guide'  11.1 release and 11.2 release.

Also please note that there is no entry for Data Mining in the DBA_REGISTRY.

V$OPTION however still shows True for Data Mining if the Oracle executable is "enabled" for Data Mining.
