Information in this document applies to any platform.

Purpose

There are times when it is necessary to do a large number of DML entries
(e.g. bulk insert, or mass update) in a multi-master (aka N-Way master)
replicated environment and you would like to avoid having to push all the
changes across the network to the other sites. You would also like to avoid
having to quiesce the replication group; especially in Oracle7 where
quiescing one group prevents DML on any replicated tables.

Scope

This document is intended for DBA's administering a multi-master replicated environment.
