Switchover attempt on a single instance primary to single instance physical standby without broker hangs without any errors.
It was verified that standby is in complete sync with primary.
All the pre-requisites like job_queue_processes was set to zero and scheduler was disabled etc.
alter database commit to switchover to physical standby with session shutdown;
stuck for more than 1 hour which normally takes about 1min at the most. No messages recorded in the alert log.
