ORA-00000: NORMAL, SUCCESSFUL COMPLETION WHEN SQLNET.WALLET_OVERRIDE=TRUE (Doc ID 1263667.1)

Symptoms

When attempting to restart the database the following error occurs:

ERROR
-----------------------
ORA-00000: normal, successful completion


STEPS
-----------------------
The issue can be reproduced with the following steps:
1) create a new wallet:

mkstore -wrl <wallet location> -create


2) add credentials to the wallet:

mkstore -wrl <wallet location> -createCredential PROD SCOTT TIGER


3) edit the SQLNET.ORA and add the wallet location and the WALLET_OVERRIDE parameter:

WALLET_LOCATION =
   (SOURCE =
      (METHOD = FILE)
      (METHOD_DATA = (DIRECTORY = /home/ora10/ORA10GR2/admin/PROD))
   )

SQLNET.WALLET_OVERRIDE = TRUE


4) Try to restart the database:

sqlplus / as sysdba
shutdown immediate
startup
ORA-00000: normal, successful completion
