Streams Apply Failing With ORA-26687 For a DDL Coming From Source When Using Rename_Schema Declarative Transformations (Doc ID 1265360.1)

Last updated on NOVEMBER 10, 2010

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: 10.2.0.1 to 11.1.0.8 - Release: 10.2 to 11.1
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

This is a particular scenario where Streams has been configured using DataPump tool with REMAP_SCHEMA option at destination; let's say bringing tables from <schema1> from source to <schema2> at destination; both events DMLs and DDLs are captured and applied.

For replicated tables set at the time Streams was initially configured, everything works fine, both DMLs and DDLs are captured and applied successfully.

For new tables (CREATE TABLE command) created at source database under <schema1> , the DDL will fail at destination database with following error message found on Apply Dba_Apply_Error view:

ORA-26687: no instantiation SCN provided for table "<schema1>"."" in source database "TEST.WORLD"

Changes

Adding a new table to be replicated with Streams at source database.
