Purpose

The following tables list fixes and workarounds that are deemed critical for software used on Exadata Database Machine and in Exadata Database Service, which includes the following:

If you are running affected software, it is highly recommended that you install the recommended software update or patch at first opportunity.

Use EXAchk to analyze your Exadata system and report exposure to Exadata critical issues.  Download the latest from <Document 2550798.1>.

Additional recommended fixes and/or releases to adopt when planning for upcoming software maintenance are available in the following documents:


Note that Exadata System Software releases and Oracle Grid Infrastructure/Database Release Updates (RUs) are cumulative.  For example, an issue marked fixed in Exadata System Software 24.1.3 is fixed in subsequent Exadata System Software releases.

Scope

Only issues deemed critical are included in this document.  A critical issue is expected to impact a large number of Exadata customers, and meets one or more of the following criteria:

Engineered Systems that utilize one or more Exadata components may have their own critical issues that are specific to that product.

My Oracle Support alert documents are created and an entry added to this document for all new Exadata critical issues. To receive notification of new and updated Exadata critical issues alerts, see <Document 793436.2>.

Issues that apply only to software and hardware that is no longer supported are removed from this document.
