Data Pump Import of Partitioned Table Using REMAP_TABLE Fails With ORA-31693 ORA-29913 ORA-29400 And ORA-39786 Errors

When using Data Pump to perform a REMAP_TABLE import of a 10.2 partitioned table into a 11.1 pre-created non-partitioned table, it fails with errors:


impdp system/oracle directory=testcase dumpfile=SCOTTSYSTEMLOGDATA.DMP LOGFILE=SCOTTSYSTEMLOGDATA.LOG tables=scott.systemlog remap_table=scott.systemlog:new_temp


ORA-31693: Table data object <schema>.<old_table_name>:<partition_name> failed to load/unload and is being skipped due to error:
ORA-29913: error in executing ODCIEXTTABLEOPEN callout
ORA-29400: data cartridge error
ORA-39786: Number of columns does not match between export and import

(errors repeat for every partition)
