CTSSD Fails to Start as "clscfg -localadd" Core Dumps (Doc ID 1279657.1)

Symptoms

11gR2 Grid Infrastructure root.sh fails as ctssd.bin fails to start due to missing key in OLR:

  • root.sh screen output:
CRS-2672: Attempting to start 'ora.ctssd' on 'racnode2'
CRS-2674: Start of 'ora.ctssd' on 'racnode2' failed
CRS-4000: Command Start failed, or completed with errors.
Cluster Time Synchronisation Service start in exclusive mode failed at /ocw/grid/crs/install/crsconfig_lib.pm line nnnn.

  • $GRID_HOME/cfgtoollogs/crsconfig/rootcrs_$HOSTNAME.log
