Symptoms


The following error is received when calling a SQL*Server 2008 function using Database Gateway for SQL*Server (DG4MSQL) 11.2.0.1 or 11.2.0.2 -


SQL> select "dbo"."functest"@dg4msql() from dual;
select "dbo"."functest"@dg4msql() from dual
*
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-00904: "dbo"."functest": invalid identifier

Changes

In SQL*Server 2008 create a function -

CREATE FUNCTION dbo.functest()
RETURNS varchar(10) AS
BEGIN
 return ('functest')
END

then call this function using DG4MSQL 11.2.0.1 or 11.2.0.2 -

select "dbo"."functest"@dg4msql() from dual;
