Reinstalling Spatial Java Class objects after Reloading JVM
(Doc ID 1283861.1)
Last updated on APRIL 19, 2023
Applies to:
Oracle Spatial and Graph - Version 11.2.0.1 to 11.2.0.1 [Release 11.2]Information in this document applies to any platform.
Goal
If the Oracle JVM is deinstalled and reinstalled on a database that already has Spatial or Locator installed, the Java Class objects owned by MDSYS will become invalid since their dependencies to the JVM objects will have been severed.
One could deinstall/reinstall the entire Spatial component to create the new Java Classes, but this could present problems if there is existing Spatial data already in the database.
A simpler alternative is to reload the Java Class objects using the same commands from the scripts that installs Spatial on this database. By using these means - the Java Classes are restored without any harm done to the spatial data.
