OCI_ATTR_PREFETCH_MEMORY And OCI_ATTR_PREFETCH_ROWS and DBLink Crashes the Application. (Doc ID 1284594.1)

Last updated on JULY 05, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: and later   [Release: 10.2 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Setting OCI_ATTR_PREFETCH_MEMORY and OCI_ATTR_PREFETCH_ROWS will crash the application if the SQL within does a SELECT using a DBLink.

Bypassing the table directly (not using the DBLink) and the code works.

The SELECT with the DBLink will work if the code that sets the OCI_ATTR_PREFETCH_MEMORY and OCI_ATTR_PREFETCH_ROWS is commented out.
