Invalid Duplicate Object Types Owned by MDSYS after Database Upgrade (Doc ID 1285512.1)

Symptoms

After upgrade to 11g or above, some objects owned by MDSYS are listed as invalid in DBA_OBJECTS even though Spatial is valid in DBA_REGISTRY.   There are also objects with the same name, owner, and type listed as VALID in DBA_OBJECTS.

e.g.

SDO_GEO_ADDR TYPE
SDO_LINK_I
SDO_NETWORK_MANAGER_I TYPE
SDO_NODE_I
SDO_NETWORK_I
SDO_PC
SDO_TIN
SDO_TGL_OBJECT_ARRAY
SDO_TOPO_GEOMETRY


All of the objects are of OBJECT_TYPE 'TYPE'.
