When invoking asmcmd with an OS user other than the Grid Home owner it fails with

/u02/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/bin/asmcmd: line 122: /u02/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/perl/bin/perl: Permission denied
/u02/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/bin/asmcmd: line 142: /u02/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/perl/bin/perl: Permission denied
/u02/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/bin/asmcmd: line 142: exec: /u02/app/grid/product/11.2.0/grid/perl/bin/perl: cannot execute: Permission denied

The user belongs to the primary group and other groups that the Grid Home owner belongs to

SYSDBA and SYSASM connections from that user goes through fine
