Symptoms

Using parenthesis or curly brackets with wildcard character in Text query returns wrong,  unexpected results.

Example:

SQL> select * from TEST;

COL1
-----------------------------------------
MAWSOPT(AUDIO)

--
-- return results
--
SQL> select * from TEST where contains(col1,'MAWSOPT(AUDIO)') > 0;

COL1
------------------------------------------
MAWSOPT(AUDIO)

--
-- no results
--
SQL> select * from TEST where contains(col1,'MAWSOPT(AUDIO)%') > 0;

no rows selected
