In your TNSNAMES.ORA you have:
(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST = xxx.xx.xxx.xx )(PORT = 1521))
(SERVICE_NAME = lb1)
you create the database link:
create database link LB1
connect to scott
identified by tiger
You create local sequence:
create sequence rl1
increment by 1
start with 1
SQL> insert into emp@lb1 (empno) values (rl1.nextval) ;
insert into emp@lb1 (empno) values (rl1.nextval)
ERROR at line 1:
ORA-02019: connection description for remote database not found
ORA-02063: preceding line from LB1
The database link seems to be working fine.
