MS-Windows: ORA-7445 On functions: ssbev_env, slzgetevar + no SGA (Doc ID 1305096.1)

Symptoms

On: 10gR2 versions, Internals Errors (ORA-600 & ORA-7445)

During normal database operation,
the following error occurs.

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [ACCESS_VIOLATION] [unable_to_trans_pc] [PC:0x7C82A0D0] [ADDR:0x63006C] [UNABLE_TO_WRITE] []


Examination of the trace file for the ORA-7445 error shows a Call Stack similar to that below:

Note that the Oracle functions ssbev_env and slzgetevar are on the Call Stack.
Note also that the functions after ssbev_env are HEX rather than function names, indicating a memory corruption.

The trace file may also contain the messages:
Current SQL information unavailable - no SGA.

Changes

There may have been changes to the MS-Windows Environment Variable settings.
Typically, PATH may have increased to > 1024 characters.
