A distributed query[using database link] over encrypted columns may fetch incorrect results or no results .

For example :

SELECT TABLE1.card_no,TABLE2.mcard_no, TABLE2.card_no FROM TABLE1,TABLE3,TABLE2 WHERE TABLE1.acct_no = '<account_number>' AND TABLE1.bin = TABLE3.bin AND TABLE1.card_type = TABLE3.type AND TABLE1.card_no = TABLE2.mcard_no
AND TABLE3.category in ('DUMMY1','DUMMY2') AND (SELECT p.cancellation_letter_date FROM TABLE4@<DB_LINK> p WHERE p.card_number = TABLE2.card_no) >= (SELECT sysdate - 1000 FROM dual)
