Goal

Are the "InfoSphere Guardium libraries" supported by Oracle Support if these libraries were linked with Oracle?

As per information on the "InfoSphere Guardium libraries": 'The Guardium relink adds the ATAP library to the oracle executable in order to capture SQL traffic that is encrypted using Oracle ASO. This process is not required to capture standard Oracle traffic - just Oracle ASO traffic.'

NOTE: by "Oracle ASO traffic" we believe that the information found on "InfoSphere Guardium libraries" is referring to Oracle Native Network Encryption, not Oracle Advanced Security.

The guardctl command relinks two Guardium ATAP libraries to the oracle executable:

library /usr/local/guardium/lib/libguard-atap-oracle-any-32.a in /usr/lib
library /usr/local/guardium/lib/libguard-atap-oracle-any-32.so in /usr/lib

The ATAP Libraries are a no-op (no interface) with Oracle. The libraries tap Oracle in application-mode, after the data is decrypted or before it is encrypted by Oracle.
