Symptoms
Applications generated with Oracle 11gR2 (11.2.0.1) Precompiler Pro*C and crashing leave no core dumps.
It was further determined this is only the case after connecting to a Database.
A small test program demonstrates that the correct creation of core files occurs without making an Oracle connection and upon connecting to Oracle leaves no core files.
