Dataguard configuration - physical standby database

In this case, this can happen on each other release.

Opening standby database read only (using active dataguard) fails with:

alter database open read only
Beginning standby crash recovery.
Standby crash recovery aborted due to error 275.
Errors in file /oracle/diag/rdbms/caresdg/caresdg/trace/caresdg_ora_7488.trc:
ORA-00275: media recovery has already been started
Completed standby crash recovery.
Errors in file /oracle/diag/rdbms/caresdg/caresdg/trace/caresdg_ora_7488.trc:
ORA-10458: standby database requires recovery
ORA-01194: file 1 needs more recovery to be consistent
ORA-01110: data file 1: '/oradata/dbdata2/SYSTEM_FNO_1_jmm63u36.dbf'
ORA-10458 signalled during: alter database open read only...

ALTER DATABASE RECOVER standby database until cancel


Cust. upgraded the primary database from 10g to 11g. After this he created
a physical standby database.
