Ora-07445: Exception Encountered: Core Dump [Hopsmsl_make_select_list()+62] Using Dg4Sybase

(Doc ID 1312483.1)

Last updated on JANUARY 18, 2017

Applies to:

Oracle Database Gateway for Sybase - Version 11.1.0 to 11.2.0.1
Information in this document applies to any platform.

Symptoms

A previously running PL/SQL containing ROWTYPE declaration and calling the Database Gateway for Sybase (DG4Sybase) is failing with -

ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [hopsmsl_make_select_list()+62] [SIGSEGV] [Address not mapped to object] [0x000000004] [] []
Current SQL statement for this session:
SELECT COMMENT_TXT FROM ID_COMMENT@SYB WHERE ENTITY_TYP = 'X' AND COMMENT_TYP = 0 AND ENTITY_NUM = :B1

If the PL/SQL is rewritten to use normal declarations then it does not produce the error and also if the number of selected rows is 0 the error does not reproduce with ROWTYPE.

Changes

The RDBMS calling the gateway has been upgraded from 10.2.0.4 to 10.2.0.5.
