OpenVMS: CRSD Crashes After Upgrade from 10.2.0.2 to 10.2.0.4 (Doc ID 1313928.1)

Symptoms

During the 10.2.0.4 patchset install, OUI reports the following warning:

WARNING: OUI-10030:You have specified a non-empty directory to install this product. It is
recommended to specify either an empty or a non-existent directory. You may, however, choose to
ignore this message if the directory contains Operating System generated files or subdirectories like lost+found.
Do you want to proceed with installation in this Oracle Home?

This warning is ignored and the install is allowed to continue.

When CRS is restarted after the installation, CRSD crashes on startup.

The related CRSD.LOG file contains the following message:

Upgrading CRS resource ora.<nodename>.ons from 10.2.0.2.0 to 10.2.0.4.0 is failed.

Changes

Applied the 10.2.0.4 patchset to the CRS code tree.
