ORA-7445 Dump in Memcpy() Selecting Against X$KSMDD (Doc ID 1317486.1)

Execution of dbms_stats.gather_fixed_objects_stats() are failing.

SQL> exec dbms_stats.gather_fixed_objects_stats();
BEGIN dbms_stats.gather_fixed_objects_stats(); END;

ERROR at line 1:
ORA-03113: end-of-file on communication channel
Process ID: ...
Session ID: ... Serial number: ...

And the following ORA-7445 error is written to the alert log file
ORA-07445: exception encountered: core dump [memcpy()+210] [SIGSEGV] [ADDR:0x...] [PC:0x...] [Address not mapped to object] []

Actually, every attempt to run a query on X$KSMDD are also failing.

The Call Stack of the generated tracefile contains:
  ... memcpy ... ksmdscan_ksmdd

And Plan table confirms an access to X$KSMDD like in the following Plan Table:
