Symptoms
- There is a problem regarding the amount of time required to collect stats for an existing table.
- You are using DBMS_STATS to collect statistics for the object
- This table is partitioned and has many partitions
Changes
Some common changes associated with newly detected slow statistics collection include: Upgrade, patching or migration.
Other sources include new statistics collection methods such as changes from scheduled stats collection or granularity
