Last updated on FEBRUARY 03, 2019

Applies to:

Oracle Server - Enterprise Edition - Version: and later   [Release: 11.2 and later ]
Information in this document applies to any platform.

On a RAC database, adding nodes to cluster in a simulated lifecycle event , an ORA-600  [kxfrVMapUpdate_helper_2] is reported each time a node is added.

The statement causing the errors reported in trace is:

----- Call Stack Trace -----
skdstdst ksedst1 ksedst dbkedDefDump ksedmp ksfdmp dbgexPhaseII dbgexProcessError dbgeExecuteForError dbgePostErrorKGE dbkePostKGE_kgsf kgeadse kgerinv_internal
kgerinv kgeasnmierr kxfrVMapUpdate_helper kxfrVMapUpdate kxfrVMapSetup kxfrSysInfo kxfrialo kxfralo qerpx_rowsrc_start qerpxStart selexe0 opiexe kpoal8 opiodr ttcpip
opitsk opiino opiodr opidrv sou2o opimai_real ssthrdmain main

But may change. Executing this command in SQL*Plus reports no issue on the new node, but fires ORA-600 in the current ones.
