Symptoms

Using SQL*Loader 8.0.6 against 11g database on Linux.

 

$ sqlldr control=/<DIR>/<FILENAME>.ctl data=/<DIR>//<FILENAME>.dat userid=<USERNAME>/<PASSWORD>

Only affecting some files.  Not duplicated problem on HP-UX.

No error is reported in the logfile or the alert log.   There were no OS errors either.
