Symptoms

When the Memory Advisor Tab in Enterprise Manager is selected, the operation seems to hang and it may take 100% CPU.

The query executed when the Memory Advisor Tab is selected is:-
SELECT   component ,
final_size,
end_time
FROM v$sga_resize_ops
WHERE initial_size <> final_size
ORDER BY end_time;

When the same query is run from SQLPLUS it takes lot of time to execute and the process will take 100% CPU.
